History of our Surrey motel
Our 52-unit motel is family owned and operated and has been established since the late 1980’s as a one of the discount motels. With continuous renovations, the Grouse Creek Motel enjoys an excellent reputation in the Surrey community. There are many Surrey BC motels, but the Grouse Creek Motel has a unique atmosphere and outstanding service. We have been an active member of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce since 1992. We are engaged in community events and support local charities. Since its inception, the Surrey Grouse Creek Motel has gained a reputation as a respected, customer-focused business.
At the moment, we are anticipating an influx of visitors arriving for the 2010 Olympics. Please check our room availability often, as we may be booked few months in advance.

Travel Time:
Our Surrey motel is located near Vancouver and can be easily accessed via Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 99. It takes approximately 40 minutes by car via the Trans-Canada Highway and Port Mann Bridge to downtown Vancouver from central Surrey. Same if you take route via Kingsway and the Patullo Bridge. From south Surrey to Vancouver via Highway 99 and the Massey Tunnel it takes about 50 minutes.
Climate:
Same as Vancouver, with slightly less precipitation.
Economy:
Surrey covers a large area of rich farmland bordering the south side of the Fraser River. Market gardens raising fruit and vegetables abound here in the lush, rolling landscape. Light manufacturing and food processing, along with pockets of residential development, are interspersed among farms and orchards.

Because Surrey is so close to Vancouver, all of the amenities and attractions available there are within an easy drive from Surrey.
